itself — sculpted directly into the surface or cast as relief panels that become one with the
architecture. This permanence is their greatest virtue; a cement mural, properly crafted, will
outlast the building it adorns.

Technically, cement murals can be executed in several ways: direct carving into freshly applied
cement plaster (for wall-integrated work), pre-cast relief panels (for complex designs that require
studio production), or a combination of both. The finish can be raw cement, custom painted in
any palette, whitewashed, or treated with waterproofing sealants for extreme weather
environments.
