The process for a full figure commission is extensive and involves multiple stages of
consultation, modelling, casting, finishing, and installation planning. We begin with a thorough
photographic reference collection and a design consultation to establish the pose, expression,
attire, and scale of the piece. A clay or digital maquette is produced for client approval at a
reduced scale before the full-size casting proceeds.

The finishing options for cast bronze are wide-ranging — from natural antique bronze patination
to chemical patinas that produce colours ranging from warm brown to deep green, from polished
mirror surfaces to the deliberately aged textures of weathered bronze. Each finish creates a
distinct aesthetic and is chosen in consultation with the client.
